What is a short-term loan?

A short-term loan typically ranges from £100 to £1000 and is designed to help you when you need money to cover a cost on a short-term basis. As an example, a short-term loan may be used to help cover bills or costs at the end of a month before the next payday, or if you find that you are out of cash before you next get paid.

Should I get a short-term loan?

Short term loans are a good option for customers who need a loan quickly and want to repay it over a short period of time. Always remember to read the terms and conditions of the loan thoroughly when applying as short-term lenders often include charges and fees if a payment is made late. Only continue to apply for the loan if you are happy with these terms.

Will I need a guarantor to get a short-term loan?

At the money store, we offer both guarantor and no guarantor loan options, once you’ve submitted our loan application you’ll be presented with a panel of lenders, you’ll know which lenders have accepted your application as you’ll see a green tick by their name. You can then choose which lender to go ahead with.

You will notice that guarantor lenders will most likely have a lower APR than that of a non-guarantor short-term lender, as they have the added security of the guarantor and can offer a lower rate because of this.

I have bad credit, can you still help with a short-term loan?

If you have bad credit or no credit history at all you will still be considered by many of the loan companies that we work with at the money store, we specialise in placing all our customers with the best possible option for their personal circumstances. All bad credit short term lenders that we work with are approved by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority)
